The PAC calls itself

The PAC calls itself “the nation’s largest online racial justice organization” and calls for “divestment and dismantling of the systems that unjustly harm black people.”

The Color Of Change PAC, which claims to have seven million members, has previously launched petitions to cut police budgets following the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

their online petition says: ‘We know that policing doesn’t keep us safe, but communities do. Police work does not lead to thriving communities, investment does.

“Communities desperately need the things that keep us safe, housed and healthy, such as investment in schools, jobs, affordable housing, parks, mental health care, community centers and libraries.

“But police budgets are being blown up again and again at the expense of our security.

“We need to start imagining the society that functions for ALL of us and we need to start dismantling and dismantling the systems that unjustly harm black people.”

The amount Soros donated was his most generous in 2021 and supported the organization’s efforts to minimize police budgets.

In February, Soros donated $2 million to the campaign of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, who announced massive changes to his office’s law enforcement strategy immediately after taking office.

In addition, Soros also financed Kim Gardner in Missouri, District Attorney Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, Kim Foxx in Chicago, and Rachael Rollins in Massachusetts, the first woman ever elected to be a district attorney in Suffolk County and the first woman of color ever to be a district attorney in Massachusetts.

Soros, the founder of Soros Fund Management, has an estimated net worth of $8.6 billion.

Last month, it was revealed that he paid zero federal income tax for three consecutive years between 2016 and 2018.

Confidential IRS data of the wealthiest people in the United States was obtained by ProPublica and published in June.

The report found that the richest 25 Americans generally pay less in taxes than the average worker.

Authorities are investigating the leak of tax data.

“Between 2016 and 2018, George Soros lost money on his investments, so he owed no federal income tax in those years. Mr. Soros has long advocated higher taxes for wealthy Americans,” his spokesman said.
