Billionaire businessman Kerry Stokes is a proud man after the recent birth of his first grandson.
The father of media mogul Ryan Stokes and his wife Claire welcomed Rafferty Kerry Campbell Stokes to Randwick’s Prince of Wales Hospital in eastern Sydney on Thursday.
Stokes Snr, who made his millions as a property developer in Perth, would be delighted as the birth of ‘Raff’ ensures the longevity of the Stokes family name and dynasty.
Rafferty, who weighs a healthy 3.7kg, is the couple’s second child, with sister Vivienne who was born two years ago.

Rafferty Kerry Campbell Stokes was born on Thursday at Randwick’s Prince of Wales Hospital in eastern Sydney, weighing 3.7kg.
The new siblings will have a comfortable life as heirs to Stokes Sr’s $7 billion fortune, which includes Seven West Media, Coates Hire and Caterpillar equipment, according to the Daily telegram.
Billionaire Stokes Snr, 80, now has four grandchildren and has been married four times in his colorful life.
Rafferty as a name translates to ‘one who will prosper’ – presumably a welcome thought from the family and the extraordinarily wealthy veteran businessman, who was adopted himself.
Ryan Stokes and his wife Claire live in the exclusive suburb of Darling Point, in eastern Sydney, after purchasing a $16 million Federation residence in 2017.
Last December, they announced to family and friends that Claire was pregnant.

The second time mother Claire has been showing off an impressive pedigree, her family has founded Queensland’s iconic shoe retailer Maryon’s.
The couple tied the knot in December 2016 during a lavish community wedding on Sydney’s Garden Island.
Before meeting his children’s mother, Stokes was in a relationship with former Home and Away actress Jodi Anasta, before splitting up in 2009.
He was then featured as Cleo Bachelor of The Year the following year before being introduced to Claire.
