New York investment banker Jonathan Kaye was attacked and hurled anti-Semitic taunts at his court appearance after being charged with assault for punching a woman at a Pride event.

Kaye, 52, now former CEO of Moelis & Company, made headlines in early June after a viral video showed him throwing a powerful punch at a woman celebrating at the Brooklyn Pride Parade on June 8.

He was arrested Monday morning after voluntarily turning himself in to police in Brooklyn, where he has been charged with second- and third-degree assault.

As he left the court, he and his lawyer were met by attackers, at least one of whom, a man, attacked his lawyer with a knife.

The group Kaye and his lawyer worked with also received anti-Semitic slurs, with at least one member of the pro-Hamas group calling them “Zionist pigs” and “Jewish dogs.”

The man punched the attorney in the back and then attempted to chase Kaye with the car keys between his fingers, attempting to use the keys as a weapon.

One woman eventually told the attacker to run, which he did. DailyMail.com is reaching out to the New York Police Department for comment.

This is a developing story.
