Billie Eilish expresses disappointment with critics who have had a lot to say about her changing style lately.

The Grammy winner took to social media to call out people who have commented on her posts, telling her she’s “changed” and is a “sellout” as she’s been embracing a more feminine sense of style lately.

“I spent the first 5 years of my career absolutely ERASED by you fools for being boyish and dressing like I did and being constantly told I would be hotter if I acted like a woman,” Eilish wrote of her since expired Instagram Stories.

She continued, “And now that I’m comfortable enough to wear something feminine or appropriate, I CHANGED and I’m a sellout.” are real idiots. LOL. I can be BOTH damn dorks. LET WOMEN EXIST!”

In a follow-up to Instagram Story, the Oscar winner pointed out that women can have different styles and be interested in different fashion trends without having to embrace just one or the other.

“FUN FACT! did you know that women are versatile!!!!!! shocking right???” she wrote “Believe it or not, women can be interested in more than one thing.”

She added on the next slide, “also that femininity doesn’t equate to weakness???!!!! OMG?! insane right? who knows?? and also totally unheard of and insane to want to express yourself differently at different times.” She signed off with a final thought for the people who have commented on her posts, writing, “Suck my absolute cock and balls you women who hate weirdo freaks.”

The musician has opened up in the past about why she chose to wear oversized, casual clothes when she first broke through as a recording artist. In an interview with NME in January 2019, Eilish said that if she was a man who wore baggy clothes, no one would notice. She also pointed out that people have told her that if she wore tight clothes, she would be more beautiful and her career would be more successful.

In Eilish’s Calvin Klein campaign later that year, she expanded on her choice to wear large, loose clothes, explaining that it was a way to keep people from talking about her body.

“Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath,” she said. “No one can say, ‘Oh, she’s slim-fat, she’s not slim-fat, she’s got a flat ass, she’s got a big ass. No one can say that because they don’t know.’
