Bill O'Reilly says Biden should pardon Trump and Hunter to heal divided nation ahead of November election

Bill O’Reilly has said President Joe Biden should pardon his son Hunter and Donald Trump to heal the nation.

The former Fox News star appeared on News Nation’s Cuomo Thursday to discuss Trump’s conviction in his hush money trial in New York, warning that the verdict could bring “violence.”

“President Biden should pardon Donald Trump for any and all crimes and publicly suggest that Governor (Kathy) Hochul do the same,” O’Reilly told Chris Cuomo.

‘And then… President Biden should pardon his son Hunter. That would throw the entire acrimonious system into absolute chaos.

O’Reilly said that while Biden could “turn down the hate… he won’t, because he doesn’t have Gerald Ford’s ‘fiber’.”

President Ford pardoned his predecessor Richard Nixon in 1974 after his resignation from the White House.

The expert later clarified that there was no equivalence between the two legal cases: “I’m not comparing (Hunter) Biden to Trump.” I’m telling Biden what’s best for the country.

Hunter Biden is currently facing federal charges for possessing a gun for 11 days after lying about his drug use. He is also accused of evading $1.4 million in federal income taxes.

Separate from his conviction Thursday, Trump faces a federal trial in Florida over classified documents found in his home. He also faces lawsuits in D.C. and Georgia for trying to overturn the 2020 election.

O’Reilly also questioned the jury system, recalling how it worked for OJ Simpson in the infamous 1994 double murder trial.

“The jury system is not infallible…they are human beings, they bring prejudices and biases into the courtroom,” he said.

O’Reilly also attacked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, saying the case against Trump “is not the Teapot Dome scandal.” It’s not Watergate. It’s not even Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton.

“We all know this is a low-level problem,” he added.

Trump’s conviction on 34 felonies marks the end of the former president’s historic hush money trial, but the fight over the case is far from over.

Now comes the sentencing and the possibility of a prison sentence. A long appeals process. And meanwhile, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee still has to deal with three more criminal cases and a campaign that could land him a return to the White House.

After more than nine hours of deliberations over two days, the Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of falsifying business records in the case stemming from a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign.

The Biden campaign issued its own statement shortly after the verdict.

Trump angrily denounced the trial as a “disgrace” and told reporters that he is an “innocent man.”

‘Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed that he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his personal gain.

‘But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box.

“Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.”

On the contrary, the White House kept its distance: “We respect the rule of law and have no additional comment.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg thanked the 12-person jury that convicted Donald Trump, and gave credit to his team of prosecutors, although he declined to say whether he would seek prison time for the former president who has relentlessly attacked him.

‘I did my job. Our job is to follow the facts and the law without fear or favor,’ Bragg said, responding to criticism of the case.

Asked if his office would oppose any attempt by defense attorneys to suspend a possible prison sentence for the former president (which experts consider unlikely), Bragg responded: “I’m not going to address hypotheticals.”

When asked if his team would seek prison time for Trump, Bragg responded: “We will speak in our court papers as we have throughout these proceedings,” he said.
