Bill Belichick was spotted enjoying a cheerleading competition in National Harbor, Maryland, this weekend.

The 71-year-old parted ways with the New England Patriots days after a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets on January 7. After failing to land a head coaching job in the NFL, Belichick appears to be enjoying his time away from football. watching other sports.

While he would normally be at the NFL Draft Combine right now, the photographs acquired by TMZ showcase Belichick at the 2024 Coastal At The Capitol Cheer and Dance event.

People at the competition told TMZ that Belichick kept to himself and sat in the back row. He reportedly watched at least one of the teams’ routines before leaving the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

Belichick was dressed in casual street clothes, dark jeans and a navy blue sweater. Although he allegedly declined the photos, fans said he was polite to everyone in attendance, according to TMZ.

In his 24 seasons as the league’s head coach, Belichick appeared in nine Super Bowls and won six titles with the Patriots. After failing to qualify for the playoffs the past two seasons, the Patriots decided to relieve him of his head coaching and general manager duties.

In the absence of a coaching position, it has been rumored that Belichick’s next move could be in sports media. The speculation arises as former quarterback Tom Brady prepares to begin his tenure as an NFL analyst and Fox commentator next season.

Peyton Manning is reportedly pursuing Belichick to join his production company, Omaha Productions, according to The Athletic.

Additionally, ESPN has also been thrown into the mix. The Athletic stated that Omaha and ESPN could link up to pair Belichick with former Alabama head coach Nick Saban for an alternate broadcast.

ESPN is also reported to have interest in Jason Kelce, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday.

While they are actively pursuing the decorated coach, Networks believes Belichick still hopes to return to the bench long-term.
