Ajay Rochester has revealed that his son has been working tirelessly helping victims of the devastating Los Angeles fires.
The former Biggest Loser star took to Facebook on Friday to share that Kai, 24, who works as a security guard in Los Angeles, had worked for 36 hours straight in an attempt to help victims and save property.
Ajay has been busy keeping friends, family and followers informed about Kai’s whereabouts amid the horrific fires, and revealed that he had just finished a 24-hour straight shift.
“24 hour shift and Kai just felt relieved,” he wrote.
‘He’s going home! You still have a 2 mile walk to your car, but you’re safe! The most stressful 24 hours of my life!
‘It has saved many people’s homes. He is no longer my baby but a man I am very proud of!

Ajay took to Facebook on Friday to share that 24-year-old Kai (pictured), who works as a security guard in Los Angeles, had worked for 36 hours straight in a bid to help victims and save property.
Ajay expanded on his words with a photo of Kai on the front wearing a face mask and a pair of Aviator sunglasses.
He also shared a series of clips, taken by Kai, showing terrifying scenes of destruction he faced during his long shift.
However, the rapidly changing nature of the catastrophe is such, Ajay reposted, just hours later, that his son remained at the scene. for 12 more hours.
‘Kai is finally home and safe! 34 hour shift. No food. Just water and Gatorade. He saved several houses, evacuated people and protected houses from potential looters,” Ajay shared.
‘I called him a hero and he said firefighters were the real heroes. I told him, “You literally fought fires and risked your life.”
She continued: ‘As always, this child is humble but he is no longer a child. He is a man. He is MY hero. Thank you all for your messages. They kept me sane.
‘I kept myself busy so as not to insist and I prayed a lot. Thank you God for having him under your protection.’
She then updated her original post again, revealing that Kai had worked for 36 hours straight.
He also shared a series of clips, taken by Kai, showing terrifying scenes of destruction he faced during his long shift.
Ajay’s posts were met with an outpouring of well wishes from friends and followers.
“It’s a testament to her mother’s great parenting,” one follower wrote.
‘A brave young man with ethics and determination far beyond his age. Take care of yourselves.’
Way to go Kai!!!!! Thank you for your service,” offered another, while a third chimed in: “What an absolute legend. Take care.’
After finding fame on Network Ten’s hit reality series The Biggest Loser, Ajay moved to the US to raise Kai, who has Asperger’s syndrome.
Speaking to New Idea in 2021, Ajay opened up about his relationship with his son.
“Raising a child with Asperger’s, you learn to have different benchmarks than other children; you can’t really compare milestones,” Ajay told the publication.
She said she had always “hoped” to support her son well into adulthood because of his condition, but was beyond “proud” of him after he landed a well-paid job.

After finding fame on Network Ten’s hit reality series The Biggest Loser, Ajay moved to the US to raise Kai.
“I’ve been paying his bills for years and keeping him in a house and, frankly, I was hoping to do that for a while,” Ajay said.
He explained that Kai had moved to Australia from Los Angeles, where he spent much of his childhood, in 2019, but had difficulty finding work after applying for more than 100 jobs.
Ajay, who hosted weight loss show The Biggest Loser from 2006 to 2009, moved to the US in 2010.
Her most recent television appearance was on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2019, but now works primarily behind the scenes as a casting agent.
