Big W fans are obsessed with a $14 perfume that smells exactly like an exclusive fragrance worth $877.

Designer Brands Red Baccara ($14 for 100 ml) is said to smell exactly like Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s cult designer perfume, Baccarat Rogue 540, which retails from $280 to $877.

Megan NicollsAn Australian woman who regularly shares beauty tips online has praised Big W’s “crazy” new fragrance that lasts all day.

“Obviously it won’t look the same or be the same, but I know it will be pretty close,” Megan said in a video.

She then unpacked the Designer Brands fragrance bottle, which bears a striking resemblance to the original Baccarat Rogue 540 crystal-style bottle.

“Oh my god, I can smell it already. It’s very, very similar. It’s not as strong, but it’s honestly pretty good… Very similar.”

“That’s crazy. I could literally wear it every day.”

Red Baccara has subtle notes of jasmine and saffron before softening into a woody blend of amber and cedar, and evokes the aroma of jasmine, saffron, cedarwood and ambergris that makes Baccarat Rogue 540 so sought after.

Megan Nicolls said Big W’s “crazy” Red Baccara fragrance was an affordable take on the exclusive designer perfume.

Designer Brands' Red Baccara fragrance is $14 at Big W

Baccarat Rogue 540 is a cult fragrance that costs up to $877 for 200 ml.

Big W perfume fans have said that Red Baccara ($14) is almost identical to the famous Baccarat Rogue 540 scent that costs hundreds of dollars.

The beauty fanatic said the generous 100ml budget bottle would last her a long time and was “amazing” value.

She also praised other Big W perfumes that cost $14 and are knockoffs of popular fragrances such as: Black Opium, Alien, Mademoiselle and Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

Red Baccara fans can’t get enough of this ‘dramatic’ fragrance that’s been disappearing from Big W shelves across the country.

“I love it! It’s warm and soft. It doesn’t last as long as you’d like, as it’s delicious in my opinion. It’s a great buy, thank you,” said one.

“I love it, it’s an interesting scent full of depth, it lasts all day and I’m obsessed,” another agreed.

“My sister has the original and I bought this one to compare. I asked my whole family to smell it for comparison. Overall they liked this one better than the original. Totally worth it, nothing better,” added a third.

But some fans of the original perfume said it was still “delicious enough” to be worth its cost and that they only wore it for very special occasions.

This isn’t the first time the bargain retailer has surprised cash-strapped Aussies with its “epic” range of dupe products.

Many were left stunned when they spotted affordable versions of luxury designer fashions at Big W, with hundreds rushing to snap up the sale items.

Shoppers have noticed styles similar to Aje, Peter Alexander, Aere, Jag, Levi’s and more.
