Louise Thompson took to Instagram on Sunday to share a different kind of New Year’s post as she revealed to her followers that she would like to say goodbye to all the suffering she endured in 2022.

The former Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram to post a sweet photo of her and her beloved son.

However, the blurry image was a hint to followers as to how the star year has felt as she began the New Year’s post caption with “A snapshot to recap my year, a blur.”

She continued the emotional post, adding, “I wrote a reflective caption that I had lined up to post yesterday but didn’t feel brave enough to share it. Maybe tomorrow, but for today just a big fat kiss to the worst year of my life.

“I’m sure many of you will have something to say about that feeling, but I said it anyway. I can’t lie.’

Worst year of my life: Louise Thompson took to Instagram on Sunday to share a different kind of New Year’s post as she revealed to her followers that she would like to say goodbye to all the suffering she endured in 2022

“Obviously, I connected with my beautiful son and laughed with him. There is no doubt that the joy has been heightened by the extreme suffering on the other side of the spectrum.”

She also continued to tell her fans how she plans to deal with her trauma, adding, “But that doesn’t change the fact that there has been an awful lot of suffering. I would like to say goodbye to all the suffering.

“I think I’m ready to say goodbye. I’m finally going to try real trauma therapy.’

She continued with, “It’s been a whole year since I tried it and yes it took me 100% out of reality and put me in a place where I totally lost control of my mind but I think I have to do it again visit to get ahead.

“I am now better equipped to handle things. I have a bit of routine and some safe structures around me. And in the worst case, I just check myself in somewhere to get help (a little angry that this hasn’t happened yet). I guess because I yo-yo go from feeling good to chronically bad to feeling good again, I never quite get around to it.

“Besides, I’m too scared. I don’t want to use up all my resources and have nothing else to try. Oh and of course I now have to put someone else’s needs first ☺️ and I can’t spend time without my little fuzzy anymore. Anyway, to summarize… I would really like to feel a little LESS in the new year.’

Louise finished the emotional post, writing, “It may sound weird, but I desperately want to have a more muted experience of the world. Less wild ups and downs. More cruising and more relaxed. I’m not too happy with this current paradigm, so I keep making changes. I’m not going to give up trying. I’ve tried a lot, but there’s more to try.’

“To anyone who has had a bad one, I wish you all the luck for this new one and remember you are not alone. It’s certainly not all rainbows.’

The New Year’s post comes after the TV personality suffered from PTSD and postnatal anxiety after she nearly died giving birth to her son Leo, in November 2021, as a result of experiencing “intense traumatic incidents so close together.”

Louise also admitted that her battle with post-traumatic stress and postpartum anxiety for a week in January caused her to cry up to 20 times.

The star has been honest with her fans about her day-to-day struggles, revealing at times that the anxiety felt “inexplicable,” but now she’s learning to “get into it.”

Louise, who son Leo often refers to as her “little miracle baby,” manages to keep her anxiety in check and after obsessively checking her temperature, blood pressure and heart rate, she is able to go about her normal, daily routine.
