Casey Mazzucchelli of Big Brother Australia has admitted that she had been brought to tears after receiving hundreds of death threats on Instagram.

To talk with New idea magazine on Wednesday said the 25-year-old said nothing could have prepared her for the kind of online vitriol she received after debuting on Channel Seven’s reboot.

“I received pretty intense messages on my Instagram,” she told the publication, adding, “I probably had nearly 400 messages telling me to kill myself. It was really very traumatic. ‘

Casey said she felt powerless because she didn’t understand what she had done to earn such hateful messages.

“I had cried a little bit about it and that was that,” she admitted, adding that trolling “has stopped for now.”

Casey was kicked out of the Big Brother house on Tuesday after she was nominated by challenge winner Sophie Budack along with Kieran Davidson.

During her time on the show, the Perth-based brunette famously closed horns with Angela Clancy.

Casey lashed out at Angela for insinuating that she didn’t deserve to win the $ 250,000 prize money, and said to the businesswoman, “Screw you, Ange! That’s so rude … How dare you say I didn’t deserve my place here. ‘

She also labeled Angela a bully after “ decimating her character twice in public – insults such as ‘beast, idiot, pig, b ****’.
