Big Brother Twist: Sarah Jane Adams and Mary Kalifatidis are sent to a secret attic after a double eviction

It’s Surprise Week at Big Brother Australia’s house.

And in Tuesday night’s episode, two roommates faced the shock of their lives when an epic twist was introduced.

Sarah Jane Adams and Mary Kalifatidis thought their time on reality TV had come to an end with a double eviction, but they were, in fact, sent packing to a secret room.

“My house has surprises around every corner, but have you ever thought of looking up?” the mysterious Big Brother voiceover told the 66-year-old antique dealer.

A metal ladder was then shown lowered from the ceiling of the hallway as Big Brother continued, “What happens in my attic will turn the game upside down.”

Earlier in the episode, Sarah Jane and Mary, 55, were evicted by their peers.

SJ was the first to be eliminated after no less than eight votes.

Big Brother then surprised his housemates by revealing that there will be a second eviction.

They had to vote again between Mary and Sid Pattni.

Go up!  It was a draw, so challenge winners Daniel Hayes and Christina Podolyan had to make the final decision.  They chose Mary who eventually ended up in the attic of SJ

The attic space is the second secret room revealed so far this season.

In the first week, Daniel Hayes and Nicholas Benton snuck away to an underground boiler room for two nights and were exempt from the first eviction.
