However, Xavier was not there to perform.

Xavier, who is also a paramedic, was on stage with Ricki-Lee to provide emergency relief when a deadly defying stunt went awry.

Former Bachelorette star and wizard Apollo Jackson was hung upside down in a straitjacket over a bed of burning nails, for an escape stunt.

To make his act even more dangerous, Apollo – real name is Jake Spence – doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen … but death is definitely at stake in this one,” Xavier told host Ricki-Lee.

He waited in the wings with his emergency medical bag and watched anxiously as Apollo’s arm caught fire during the stunt.

Fortunately, Xavier didn’t have to perform his duties as a medical practitioner, as Apollo knocked out the stunt to the shock and relief of the show’s judges and audience.
