Big Brother Australia: Dave Graham reveals why he voted himself off the show

Big Brother star Dave Graham reveals WHY he sensationally voted himself off the show: ‘It got unbearable’

Big Brother fan favorite ‘Farmer Dave’ Graham has spoken out after voting himself out of the house on Monday’s episode.

The franchise veteran, 42, went up against his ‘OG’ allies Reggie Bird and Estelle Landy when he told Big Brother he was ready to go home.

He told Who magazine? on Tuesday he wanted to leave the compound because the pressure of the competition became too great.

“The weight of the game was always there… the intensity of it just grew to the point where it became unworkable and unbearable for me,” Dave said.

“I was challenged and eventually wanted to leave the house.”

He added that he wanted to make sure his good friend Reggie was taken care of and that she stayed on the show.

“It was my time to go, and it was a great way to leave two incredible roommates in the eviction seats and be able to go out and know that Reggie is safe and secure,” he said.

‘Farmer Dave’ sensationally voted himself out of the game on Monday, telling Big Brother that he would rather quit than take on Reggie and Estelle.

†[I’m voting for someone who] is really getting tired and I don’t think he can play the game the way it’s supposed to be played,” Dave said in the journal room.

He continued: “I think if I see the three people at the finish, this person will definitely not be one of them.”

“So I think it’s best to get this person out now rather than later, and that’s why I’m nominating Dave… myself.”

Big Brother declined to accept the nomination.

The nice guy Dave, however, said he couldn’t bring himself to vote for Reggie or Estelle because of their close bond.

Dave, who is a youth worker, said the game in the house was not in line with his beliefs.

“I’ve tried to get in there and play the game, but it’s just not me — it’s not who I am.”

Dave eventually got the suitcase from the house, and he seemed thankful he was gone.

Big Brother continues on Channel Seven on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
