A man was rushed to hospital after he was shot in broad daylight on a quiet street in Sydney’s west on Sunday.

More than six police cars responded to emergency calls after gunshots were heard around 2pm on Carlisle Ave in Bidwill, between Penrith and Blacktown in the city’s west.
