Travelers to the United States will no longer need proof of a negative Covid test to enter the country from June 12, according to reports.
The Biden Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will drop the requirement Sunday, CNN reports. An announcement is expected Friday afternoon.
Currently, anyone entering the US — even citizens returning home — must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a negative test certified by a medical professional.
These requirements were first established in January 2021, when the vaccines first became available around the world.
