President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign says it raised $38 million in the four days following his car-crashed debate performance against Donald Trump.

Reporting its second-quarter fundraising figures, the Biden-Harris campaign reports it raised $264 million between April and June.

The haul, he says, includes the campaign’s biggest fundraising month yet, with $127 million raised in June.

Biden campaign manager Juylie Chavez Rodriguez said:

This election will be close and the stakes could not be higher, which is why today’s fundraising is so important. It will allow us to reach and mobilize the voters who will decide this election every day.

Biden’s campaign has reportedly told donors that their large sums of money will go to Kamala Harris if the president ends up dropping out of the race.

That would be a big boost for Kamala, who clearly fell short of being in first place to replace the president, despite being second in line.

She has been struggling with low approval ratings for months, and voters are not enthusiastic about having her at the top of the ticket.

Tilson has donated more than $300,000 to the party in recent years.
