Sunrise host Natalie Barr had an embarrassing moment with US President Joe Biden on the eve of the US election.
Barr, who is in Washington to cover the election, was at the White House on Tuesday when Marine One, the helicopter carrying the president, landed on the South Lawn.
As Biden exited Marine One and walked toward the Oval Office, Barr attempted to ask the president if he regretted calling Trump supporters “trash.”
President Biden ignored the question, which Barr claimed he would have heard because she was “pretty loud.”
“He (President Biden) hung his head and looked away from us,” Barr said.
Photos show President Biden looking unimpressed after the meeting.
‘Other journalists were asking questions too, but mine was quite loud. He simply hung his head and headed towards the Oval. You ignored me.’
Co-host Monique Wright, along with Matt Shirvington reporting from the Australian studio, shared outtakes from earlier in the day showing Barr battling the powerful gusts created by Marine One as it landed.
‘It’s okay, it’s very windy. We’re actually so close that the president is somewhere out there,” Barr laughed as the wind from the helicopter blew his hair into his face.

President Biden did not seem impressed with Nat Barr’s question.
Barr claimed he would have listened to her question because it was “pretty loud.”
‘This is as close as you can get to the President of the United States. Joe Biden. Right there.’
Wright and Shirvington joked that President Biden ignored Barr because he watched her nearly fly out of the helicopter.
Despite the wind, the Sunrise host called the experience “one of the most exciting moments” of her life.
“Cam, the cameraman and I were there and I couldn’t believe he was there,” Barr said.
—They let you in, all the tough journalists who are here all the time. For them it’s like another day at the office. I was shaking with excitement.
‘You’ve seen this in movies, on the news, in reports from around the world, and I thought, “Wow, I’m here!” My hairpiece almost fell off. It was a disaster, but I was there.”
