President Joe Biden has repeated a lie about traveling 17,000 miles with the Chinese premier in his latest failed speech, where he also referred to the ‘O’Biden’ administration.

The 81-year-old was giving a speech at an event at the White House on Thursday to mark Greek Independence Day when he repeated the false comments.

He repeated the long-debunked claim that he had covered extensive ground during visits with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Biden reiterated the claim while telling an anecdote about how President Xi had once asked him to define the United States.

The president likes this statement, which earned him the description of “Bottomless Pinocchio” by the Washington Post. The Post describes the distinction as “false or misleading statements repeated so frequently that they became a form of propaganda.”

The outlet rescinded the statement in 2021 after noting that the president had reiterated it about 21 times.

Biden has repeatedly used the 17,000 mile figure to exemplify the work he has done to foster a relationship with President Xi.

The White House has never explained the figure. If Biden’s trips with Xi are added, on the same plane or vehicle, they are much less than 17,000. If you count his trips to meet Xi, there are more.

However, the statement was not the only gaffe during the speech, which included an embarrassing moment in which the octogenarian referred to the ‘O’Biden administration’ instead of Obama.
