The BHA has indicated that flat racing under restrictions will be the priority when the sport may be resumed with summer jumping in racing whenever possible.
Racing will be stopped until the end of April, with no indication of when it may resume.
But industry leaders say the sport should have a plan to resume from May 1 if allowed and has published a ‘COVID-19 operational plan’.

This describes the main objective around response, recovery and resumption of the sport.
The report says, “We expect any return to racing, at least initially, to start with Flat Racing, primarily for safety reasons and to minimize demands on emergency services.
While every effort will be made to resume jumping as soon as possible, possibly with the planning of some Jumpers’ Bumpers cards, it may help jumps trainers to assess whether horses should / should be expelled or in training are held. ‘
