The 52-year-old actor took to social media to reveal he would be contacting the Grévin Museum in Paris after the controversial wax figure was heavily criticised by fans.

Dwayne and his fans have commented on the wax figure’s seemingly lighter skin tone, with the star saying he will be asking for the skin color to be “updated.”

While the figure bears many glamorous similarities to the star, there has been a lot of backlash on social media over certain features, including her skin color.

Outraged X (formerly Twitter) users wrote: “So according to the Grevin Museum in Paris, that’s Beyoncé.”

‘There’s no point in whitening them to that extent. If Bey can sometimes give the impression of having a lighter complexion it’s because of her stage lighting and her makeup. But this is clearly (dare I say it) too much, once again…’

‘Who is that?’

‘Oh God.’

“If you want, it’s Iggy Azalea, but certainly not Beyoncé.”

‘Who the fuck is that?’

“Why is it white? That’s Bianca”

‘Beyoncé at the Musée Grévin, she is white.’

“She’s anything but Beyoncé.”

“Don’t make me angry, what is that?”

‘Baby, who is this that’s not Beyoncé?’

‘For the record, I’m going to ask my team to get in touch with our friends at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France, so we can work on ‘updating’ my wax figure with some important details and improvements, starting with my skin color.’

“And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop by for a drink with myself,” he concluded, adding a winking emoji.

The post, which received more than 150,000 likes, saw fans express their disappointment and confusion over the wax figure.

The Grévin Museum has already unveiled the updated figure, which is open to the public. The Rock has not yet commented on the changes.
