Bette Midler playfully asks if it’s ‘too late’ to join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: ‘I’m in the mood to talk s***’

Bette Midler took to the social media app X over the weekend to express her desire to appear on a reality show.

The 78-year-old actress took to the platform formerly known as Twitter and asked, ‘Is it too late to become a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills?’

She noted, “I’ve never seen him, but I’m in the mood to talk a little.” And charge for it? A dream! #RHOBH.’

The official Bravo X account quickly responded: ‘Talk about a glorious crossover,’ adding a wink and a diamond emoji.

And Bravo’s executive vice president of development, Andy Cohen, chimed in: “It’s time!” as he also added a diamond emoji.

The thread continued with the longtime artist adding: ‘I think my catchphrase should be: “Those beaches don’t know what’s about to hit them!!’

The award-winning actress used ‘beaches’ instead of ‘b****s’ in reference to her 1988 film Beaches.

After the lighthearted and fun exchange, Bette returned to X on Sunday to share a fun Easter post, referencing the movie for the second time.

She shared an image from the feature film that showed her dressed in a bunny costume.

To attract the attention of his followers, he wrote: ‘Happy Easter! Listen, it’s a good thing you want to leave a couple carrots for the Easter Bunny. But I heard you prefer gin.

Last year, in an interview at Just for variety On the podcast, Midler reflected on her decades-long career and revealed a role she wishes she hadn’t turned down.

‘I have been an old woman, a young woman, a witch, a mermaid, a showgirl, a stripper, a bad lounge singer. I’ve run the gamut. And I have to say it’s been fantastic,” she began.

She went on to say that she has never played a nun and revealed that she had been offered a role in 1992’s Sister Act.

‘Can you believe it? How out of the ordinary is that? How crazy is that? Jeffrey Katzenberg called me every day: “Please, please.” I stood my ground because he was really afraid of the costume. Isn’t it amazing? Can I wear anything but the nun’s habit?’ he explained.

The role ultimately went to 68-year-old Whoopi Goldberg.

“Whoopi wore it all the way to the bank,” Midler added. ‘So God bless her. And she was perfect for it.

And there’s another opportunity he turned down that he’s still thinking about: a role in Misery.

‘I just couldn’t. It was too violent,’ she said. ‘The character was not funny at all, he lacked any redeeming qualities. She cut off his foot. Come on. Who does that?
