Bethenny Frankel stunned her Australian fans by correctly pronouncing the name of a major Australian city.

The 53-year-old is currently Down Under on a speaking tour which kicked off in Melbourne this weekend.

While promoting the concert on Instagram, many of Frankel’s Australian followers were amazed at his ability to pronounce Melbourne correctly.

Americans often call the town “Mel-born”, with particular emphasis on “born”, but the correct Australian way of saying it is somewhere between “Mel-bin” and “Mel-burn”.

Frankel, who has already visited Australia twice, seems to have quickly mastered the Australian lingo.

“It’s nice to pronounce Melbourne correctly and visit our beautiful city like a real tourist rather than a stuck-up celebrity,” one local gushed on Instagram.

“You say Melbourne perfectly, but few Americans say it correctly,” wrote another.

Despite the praise, debate over the correct way to pronounce city sparked a debate in the comments section of Frankel’s post.

“It’s only ‘Melbin’ because of your accent.” Anyone else looks stupid saying it that way,” one person said to an Australian Frankel fan.

“No, no one pronounces it Mel-bin, there’s a curve to the way we pronounce the R!” wrote another.

Frankel kicked off her popular speaking tour, In Conversation with Bethenny Frankel, in Melbourne last weekend and is now bringing it to Sydney.

She will take the stage at the ICC’s Darling Harbor Theater on Friday to discuss her success and fame with audiences.

“Points for pronouncing Melbourne correctly and visiting our beautiful city like a true tourist rather than a stuck-up celebrity,” exclaimed one local on Instagram.

Americans often call the town “Mel-born”, with great emphasis on “born”, but the correct Australian way of saying it is somewhere between “Mel-bin” and “Mel-burn”.

According to an event description, she will have a “candid conversation about unprecedented success, from brand-building prowess to memorable moments on Real Housewives of New York and The Apprentice.”

She will also host a live Q&A session where she will answer questions from the audience about entrepreneurship and reality TV, while she will also be joined on stage by MC Sally Obermeder.

The Skinnygirl mogul was joined by her daughter Brynn, whom she shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy.

This is Bethenny’s third time visiting Sydney and she wasted no time exploring the city’s sights – and documenting every moment on social media.

She looked effortlessly chic in a denim jacket and bright green wide-brimmed hat as she generated excitement for her upcoming show.

She told her followers: “OK Sydney, we’re in your corner now! This is my third trip to Sydney, which shows you how much I love it and I love you. I love Australia. I’m delighted to be here!
