Bethany Joy Lenz has revealed she is in a “wonderful” new relationship after a failed marriage to the son of a “cult” leader in the early 2000s.
The One Tree Hill star, 43, who previously said she had a ‘sexual schedule’ with the unnamed man, credited her mysterious new love interest for allowing her to complete her memoir Dinner Party for Vampires: Life on a TV Show cult television (while also being on a real cult!).
Lenz, who shares her 13-year-old daughter Maria with her ex Michael Galleotti, to whom she was married from 2005 to 2012, said Variety: ‘I’ve been dating a wonderful man, and he was incredibly helpful, very supportive, and helped me with things like picking him up after school, so I was able to keep writing until 5.
“I tried to set a schedule so I knew what days I would pick her up from school and help her with her homework or take her to different activities, so I could make sure I still felt part of the group.” daily routine.

The actress shocked her fans when she revealed ahead of her new memoir that she was linked to a cult for 10 years.
She alleges she experienced “manipulation, abuse and fear” at the hands of what she thought was a church covenant.

In December 2005, the singer-songwriter married Michael Galeotti, former member of the band Enation. She shares her daughter María Rose with the late musician.
Lenz’s memoir, Dinner for Vampires, in which she alleges she experienced “manipulation, abuse and fear” at the hands of what she thought was a church covenant, was released Tuesday.

She said that while filming One Tree Hill in Wilmington, her now-ex was constantly traveling to the Pacific Northwest and expected to have sex every time he returned.
“My stomach flipped every time,” he admitted. “In fact, it really affected my relationships later (with) other boyfriends when I had to pick them up at the airport.”
Lenz added: “I had a lot of PTSD from showing up at the airport to see him knowing that I was going to have to start this sexual program for the next two weeks or three weeks or whatever.”
And although her marriage eventually ended, she said she still feels empathy for her ex.
