A little savings can go a long way toward helping us all afford better sleep and making it easier to splurge on the improvements you really need to sleep better.
While Amazon Prime Day isn’t typically popular for bedding (you’re probably thinking of things like Wi-Fi routers and TVs, both of which are already on sale), there are a surprising number of sales on mattresses, sheets, and even pillows on this moment. . We scoured every sale we could find that included a product we recommend and rounded up the best ones to shop during the Amazon holidays, which end tonight. All prices are for queen size.

Best Prime Day mattress deals

Birch
Birch is Helix’s organic sister brand and, like Helix, makes some of our favorite organic mattresses. Birch is also running a Fall Into Bed sale now through October 7, just like Helix, and it’s 20 percent off sitewide with the code FALLSALE20. However, Birch’s deal includes two free pillows with every mattress purchase, making it a better deal. However, they are the brand’s discontinued Eco-Rest pillows, rather than any of the newer options. It’s not as good a deal as we saw during Labor Day or other summer sales, but Birch’s mattresses and mattress toppers are the ones we really love.
Leesa
Leesa makes excellent mattresses – their Sapira Chill is one of the few that rivals our long-time favorites – and the Leesa Legend Chill is one of the best cooling mattresses we’ve tested. Leesa is running a fall savings sale for most of the month, with 20 percent off select mattresses (plus two free pillows) and 25 percent off bedding and foundations. All of our favorite models made the cut for sale.
casper
Casper is known for pioneering the mattress-in-a-box shopping style we know and love. The brand recently redesigned its entire line, and the new base model, the One, has quickly become one of our favorites for its breathable, soft design that still achieves a medium-firm feel. Casper also makes our favorite pillow, the Hybrid Snow. Casper has the pillow on sale on Amazon for Prime Day, but it has the mattress and a better pillow deal (20 percent off if you buy more than two, but only one pillow will be 10 percent off, same as Amazon ) on his own site, where he sells Casper Friends & Family. The sale starts today but will run until October 23.
Brooklyn Bedding
Brooklyn Bedding makes a variety of firm mattresses, including Plank and Plank Natural. We love these models, especially because they can be flipped with a firm and medium-firm side on each. Planks aren’t the only ones we like either: the Aurora Luxe Cooling Mattress is a good middle ground if you want something firmer and has a pillow top you can add (great for side sleepers!). three mattresses are on sale right now for 30 percent off with the code FLASH30which is a good discount.
Tempur-Pedic
Tempur-Pedic is running sales throughout October on a handful of mattress toppers, pillows, and the Tempur-Cloud mattress. We haven’t tried the Tempur-Cloud or Tempur-Pedic pillows yet, but our editors are fans of the Tempur-Adapt Topper which is 40 percent off right now with the code TOPPERS40. Our editor says the Tempur-Adapt has been great at pairing with an extra-firm mattress to make it nice and soft, and it has good cooling technology built into the layers. Saatva
It is assumed that most mattress buyers choose between soft and firm, or try to find an acceptable middle ground for partners with different preferences. But what if your tastes change with the seasons or with the soreness you feel in your muscles after a long, active day? Saatva’s Zenhaven Organic Mattress lets you choose a side. Do you start off easy and find your back hurts? Don’t worry, just turn it to the firm side or vice versa.

Buffy
Buffy has been offering a 20 percent discount for the past few weeks on its site and plans to continue the sale through Amazon Prime Day. While it’s not a new deal, it’s still a chance to get some of our team’s favorite sleep items at a better price than usual. Our team loves their Breeze and Cloud comforters for how breathable and comfortable they are year-round, and their sheets have been top picks in our sheet guide. They’re also choosing eco-friendly materials, using things like Tencel lyocell and fabrics made from plastic bottles to make their bedding.
cozy land
Cozy Earth is known for its super-soft sheets and even hoodies, and the company is running a sale on the site at the same time as Amazon Prime Day. Cozy Earth’s Cozy Days sale has everything for 30 percent off, but with the code WIRED can get 35 percent off the entire site. Cozy Earth also has some things for sale on Amazon, but the sale is better on Cozy Earth’s own site.

Brooklinen
There are so many great things to love at Brooklinen and good news: their entire Amazon store is 20 percent off. Brooklinen does a lot of sales, but they are still good prices since Brooklinen usually has a 15 percent discount on sales. We’re fans of many Brooklinen sheets (especially their percale, organic cottonand satin), and their towels are fantastic too. You’ll need to click the coupon to get the 20 percent discount at Amazon, and you won’t see the updated price until you’re at the last stage of your cart. Brooklinen will also be running some flash sales over the next couple of days, so keep an eye out for those as well.
Avocado
Avocado’s fall pajama sale runs from now until mid-October, and while we like both of Avocado’s mattresses (the Avocado Green is our favorite organic mattress), sales are better in the sheets department than in the mattresses. WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson recommends Avocado’s organic cotton and linen sheet sets, but the linen is currently out of stock.

Unfortunately, not all sales are great deals (although that doesn’t mean it’s a terrible price!). These are some of the live sales we’ve looked at so far.
Propeller
Helix has already kicked off the October sale season with its Fall Into Bed sale that runs all month long, but for the next two days it’s running its Sale Day sale, taking 25 percent off everything in place with he code PRIMETIME25. It’s a price we see often and recommend buying it for, but it’s not a great bargain price as you can often find it for this price. Still, Helix makes some of our favorite mattresses, so it’s a good opportunity to get them at the ideal price.
Bear
Bear, the maker of our favorite side sleeper mattress, is also running a sale during Prime Day. It’s 35 percent off sitewide. with code PRIMAplus two free pillows with the purchase of any mattress. It brings the mattress to the price we normally see it available at, although $150 worth of pillows makes that a bit of a discount.
Nola
Nolah already kicked off October with its fall sale, and now the Prime sale for the next two days has the same discount: 35 percent off everything on the site, plus two free pillows with the purchase of any mattress. The 35 percent discount brings it to the price we normally see, but the extra pillows make it a bargain. Nolah Fluffy Pillows are a pillow you can only get with the purchase of a mattress, but there is no set price to see how much added value you get. This is the price we normally recommend purchasing this mattress for.
Nectar
The Nectar flash sale starts today and runs through October 14, so you have a little extra time with this one beyond Prime Day. You can get up to 50 percent off mattresses, plus $100 off any mattress over $1,000, including the Nectar Luxe. This is our long-time choice for pressure relief and was recently redesigned. The new version, which we are currently testing, is even better at relieving pressure than the previous version. It’s a great option for side sleepers who want something softer or for anyone who wants to feel like they’re floating.
