Last week, the Channel Seven host, 40, asked the American actress, 27, who was the “best kisser” among her Challengers co-stars Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor.
“It was a very normal question who was the best kisser,” the 52-year-old athlete said during the interview. The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday of the now viral video.
He continued, “And they’re pretending it’s a shocking question.”

The pair then played a clip of Zendaya seemingly addressing the Sunrise interview in which she appeared to claim she was being singled out because she was asked about love scenes with her fellow actors.
‘I don’t know if it’s because they want it to be something viral, I don’t know. But I’ve realized that, specifically with me,” he told Jake’s Takes host Jake Hamilton.
“I feel like… if it were anyone else here, they probably wouldn’t ask you that question.”

“That’s bullshit,” Kyle said in response to Zendaya’s comments.
Telling listeners that “kissing” questions come up all the time with actors, he complained that Zendaya “should be able to handle it.”
“Let’s say, ‘We’re acting and you both kiss really well,'” Kyle continued.
“Just answer the question: ‘It’s just a big storm in a teacup for nothing, not everyone cares about film work,'” he said.

During her interview clip, the Hollywood star noted that kissing scenes are a “normal part” of her work as an actress.
“Yeah, it’s weird,” he added, before crediting Jake for pointing out that “nobody else gets asked” those kinds of questions.

To his relief, Mike, 32, jumped for cover and said “Josh” to divert attention from his uncomfortable colleague.

Fans around the world flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, following the awkward exchange and criticized the interview.
“No, because it’s the same Zendaya, it’s the same,” wrote one user while sharing a gif of the Golden Globe winner’s grimace.
Others also referenced her reaction, with one person saying: “She said ‘Hm?'” while another commented: “Her face when she said it,” along with laughing emojis.
