Bernard has stated that he did not hesitate to sign once Everton moved for him this summer.
The 25-year-old former Shakhtar Donetsk player moved to Goodison Park in a free transfer on Thursday.
He had previously been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, but Bernard insisted: "I did not need to be convinced to come here."

Bernard told the club's official video channel: "I chose Everton because of all the things I had heard about Marco Silva and, after talking to him, I was happy with what he told me.
"The manager made me feel safe playing here, he is a very good coach and he has achieved really good things in other clubs.
& # 39; Everton is a club with a great structure and a lot of tradition, historically the fourth most successful club in England. When I discovered this opportunity and what the manager wanted from me, I felt happy.
"That's why I made my choice, because of the confidence that both the manager and the club showed in me.
"I did not need any convincing to come here, I think I can show the best of me as a player here."
Bernard also tested on the new Everton track at the club's Finch Farm training camp.
Bernard spent five seasons in Shakhtar and won three league titles and three Ukrainian Cups.
He has represented Brazil 14 times at the top level, but not since his 7-1 defeat to Germany in the 2014 World Cup.
Bernard will wear shirt No 20 at Goodison. He is the second Brazilian signing of Everton's summer after the arrival of Richarlison of Watford.
