Like other newspapers, an article on 11 February reported official figures from the Department for Work and Pensions suggesting that 68 per cent of disability claimants were receiving benefits despite being fit to work.
While 29 percent were declared fit to work immediately, the remaining 39 percent were deemed unable to work now but capable of doing so for the foreseeable future.
