Ben White and Kalvin Phillips go shirtless hunting in Mykonos after England defeat at Euro 2020 nederlaag

They were both part of the England squad that made it to the final of this summer’s Euros 2020 tournament.

And after a month of spending everything on the pitch, footballers Ben White and Kalvin Phillips have left for Mykonos to enjoy a sun-filled vacation before pre-season training begins.

The sports stars were seen arriving on Monday with a group of friends at a marina on the Greek island, where they took to the water to spend the day aboard a luxury yacht.

Brighton player White, 23, whose move to new club Arsenal was recently confirmed, made the most of their well-deserved break and watched his tan as he arrived on the dock shirtless.

White showed off his impressive tattoo collection, donning monochromatic patterned shorts and wearing his blue T-shirt around his neck as he chatted with a friend.

He wore cool sunglasses on his head and was seen with a thick silver watch and chains around his neck.

The group were seen in good spirits as they gathered on the jetty, before boarding a smaller boat that took them to their private rental.

White’s teammate Phillips, 25, rocked in a black patterned t-shirt and colorful floral-patterned swim shorts.

He was later seen ditching his T-shirt to go shirtless as he reclined on the group’s lavish boat and, soaking up the sun on board, kept himself hydrated with a bottle of water.

His trip away with his former Leeds United team-mate White comes after the pair were called up to the England squad, led by Gareth Southgate, for the postponed Euros 2020 tournament.

The European Championship was originally scheduled to take place last year but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and started in June instead.

For the first time in 55 years, England reached the final of a major tournament – the national team’s first since winning the World Cup against Germany in 1966 and the team’s first-ever European final.

Celebrities and fans alike stood behind the England team on their successful run, sadly preventing them from taking home the title as they lost to Italy on a penalty shootout in the heart-pounding final held at Wembley Stadium on 11 July.

Reflecting on the tournament on Instagram prior to his trip abroad, Phillips shared a photo of the England team huddled together during the thrilling final and told fans he was “incredibly proud” of his teammates.

He wrote: ‘We gave everything. In the end it wasn’t meant to be, but I’m incredibly proud of this team. Thank you to all the @england staff, my teammates and most importantly our fans for their amazing support.

“It has been an honor to have played for and with you over the past few weeks. We come back.’

White described his joining the squad as the “best time” of his football career to date.

“What to say… gutted is an understatement. I have never been more proud of a group of people than with this fate,” he wrote on social media.

“Spending six weeks with them has been the best time of my short career and I have loved every minute of it. All I can say is thank you for all your support and I promise we will come back stronger and even better. This is just the beginning!’

All eyes have been on him of late as he has reportedly struck a £50m deal to move to Arsenal for the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

While the move is yet to be finalized, Sky Sports are reporting that White will undergo a medical check-up for the club when he returns from Greece.

He previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Leeds Untied and League One team Peterborough United.
