Financier Ben Goldsmith paid tribute to his & # 39; academic superstar & # 39; daughter who tragically died in a quadcrash on the family farm earlier this week – while having never before seen pictures of the 15-year-old released.
Ambulance workers were called to the goldsmith's house in the village of Somerset in North Brewham on Monday afternoon after the millionaire's oldest daughter, Iris Annabel, 15, was involved in a collision.
At the time of the accident, Iris was with a friend who immediately raised the alarm after her vehicle – an all terrain buggy with roll cage – was overthrown. But despite the desperate attempts of paramedics on the spot, she could not be saved.
Mr. Goldsmith, 38, and his former wife Kate Rothschild, 37, are & # 39; destroyed & # 39; by the death of their & # 39; beautiful, brilliant little girl & # 39 ;. He has now revealed that Iris is a & # 39; barrister & # 39; wanted to be when she was growing up and a & # 39; academic superstar & # 39; used to be.
He told the Daily Mail: & # 39;I just can't understand what happened – it's just so unfair. I feel desperate, as if I usually can't breathe. & # 39;

In a heartbreaking tribute to his beloved daughter, he said: & she was only 15. I just want my beautiful, brilliant little girl back.
& # 39; She was a real star in the making and I am so proud of her. She was an academic superstar and would be a huge success. She wanted to become a lawyer. No child has ever worked harder. & # 39;
In a hitherto invisible photo released to Mail, Iris is seen as the cradle of her newly born half-sister, Eliza, in 2016.
In another, she is depicted on a family vacation in South Africa the following year. Iris was one of the three children from Ben's first marriage, to his wife Kate Rothschild.
Besides Eliza, Ben has a son, Arlo, with his second wife, Jemima, a caterer with a model-turned company.
& # 39; The only relief on these last few miserable days is that I have my entire family here with us, & # 39; Mr. Goldsmith continued.
Mr Goldsmith had played cricket when he heard that his 15-year-old daughter's quad bike crashed. He hurried back to Somerset from Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey, to see her at the hospital.

He told fellow players that the teenager had been involved in a collision, but her injury was not considered life-threatening at that stage.
The competition was abandoned when Mr Goldsmith sneaked away from the competition with his two oldest sons Frankie, 13 and 11 year old Isaac.
Kalim Khan, who was playing, told MailOnline: "We were in the field and Ben & # 39; s team struck when he was called to say something was wrong."
& # 39; Two boys came on the wicket to say that something serious had happened and Ben had to leave.
& # 39; His two sons were with him and half of the team were his family and friends so we made the decision to stop the game.
& # 39; We were told that the accident was not serious and that it was not a life-threatening situation. We were told that his daughter was fine, but that she had to go to the hospital. & # 39;
Mr. Khan continued: & # 39; Ben was constantly calling. Even when he got into the car, he was calling someone.
& # 39; We were told it would be fine, but he had to go. He seemed clearly concerned. He seemed worried like any parent would be, but he wasn't panicking at that stage. & # 39;
