He divorced wife Jennifer Garner in 2015 after a decade of marriage and three children together.
And Ben Affleck has admitted that he is lucky to be ‘forever’ connected with the actress.
The 47-year-old actor was frank about his struggle with addiction and relationship with his ex-wife, also 47, published in a new interview on the pages of People magazine released on Wednesday.

The former couple has three children together; Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11 and Samuel, seven and Affleck are working hard on co-parenting in harmony with his ex-wife.
He said: ‘If you have children with someone, you will be connected to them forever.
“And I am very lucky that she is the mother of my children.”
He also discussed his struggle with alcoholism and sobriety, including his painful family history, but grumbled at Garner’s support during his struggles.

Affleck said: ‘I am very grateful and respectful to her. Our marriage did not work, and that is difficult.
“We both really believe it is important for children to see their parents respect and interact with each other, whether they are together or not.”
Affleck recently spoke openly about his divorce from Garner as “the greatest regret of my life” in an interview published by The New York Times.

The couple married in 2005 and divorced in 2015 with reports that Affleck had an affair with the babysitter of the family, Christine Ouzounian, emerging days after the news of the split.
After their divorce in 2018, Garner said the nanny had nothing to do with the couple’s decision to separate.
