Ben Affleck, 52, returned home Wednesday to find his $20 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad still standing after he was forced to evacuate the night before.

Ben Affleck was able to breathe a sigh of relief after returning home to discover that his house had survived the massive wildfires that devastated Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old actor and filmmaker was seen driving to his mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, which has been devastated by the fast-moving fire.

Despite their decision to return, the house appeared to still be in an evacuation zone.

Ben came home wearing a work-ready tan sports jacket and a white dress shirt, just like he had driven them from his office.

The Argo star had been spotted the night before arriving home with a shocked look on his face when flames were seen near his house, which he bought following his split from Jennifer Lopez.

He was later forced to evacuate the $20.5 million home, but focused on helping others and then headed to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home to take her and their children to safety.

Ben was spotted later on Wednesday hanging out with a friend and grinning from ear to ear.

Although he was lucky that his house survived when so many other Westside stars and Pacific Palisades residents lost their homes, he is not out of the woods.

Strong winds continue to hit Los Angeles and could still spark new fires, although they appear to have softened somewhat from their highs on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Since the fire broke out in Pacific Palisades, new fires have started further east in Altadena, forcing major evacuations in nearby Pasadena on Tuesday night.

More fires broke out in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday, threatening densely populated areas of Hollywood.

The Armageddon star has only been living in Pacific Palisades for a short time after he purchased a home in the area for $20.5 million following his split from Jennifer Lopez.

Although it’s a far cry from the opulent retreat where he and his ex had lived together in Beverly Hills, it’s not exactly small, at 6,247 square feet, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Before living in his current home, he had lived in the massive 38,000-square-foot Georgian mansion that he and Lopez bought for $60 million.

It has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms and has numerous amenities, including a 12-car garage and an elevator, but so far the couple has not found a buyer after putting it on the market for $68 million.

After separating from Jennifer, but before she went public with her divorce filing, Ben was seen living in a rental apartment in Brentwood, which is not too far from his current home and kept him in the same neighborhood as his ex. wife Jennifer Garner. and their children live there.

Actor James Woods shared a video of the approaching flames shortly before evacuating ahead of the destruction of his home.

The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag saw their home destroyed in the bushfire, and Spencer was photographed looking grimly at the approaching flames before his family was forced to flee.
