Ben Affleck is leaving the rental he moved into during his marital troubles with Jennifer Lopez and heading to a new $20 million pad.

The 52-year-old actor has packed up the bachelor pad he’s called home in recent months after purchasing his own home in Brentwood amid his “messy” divorce.

Ben and Jennifer announced their divorce in August citing irreconcilable differences and the Hollywood star had spent the previous months in the rented home.

The couple are selling the home they own together after accepting a $64 million offer, but the sale has now hit a snag.

The sale of the home is now under threat after unknown buyers “backed out of escrow” following a death in their family.

However, it appears Ben is moving ahead with his own move, after a moving truck was photographed outside his property this week.

According to onlookers, two large vans spent the day transporting Ben’s belongings, including rugs, boxes and mirrors, into the vehicle.

Ben and Jen, who are currently working through their divorce mediation with attorney Laura Wasser, purchased their marital home in May 2023 for $60.8 million and had received and accepted a $64 million offer from a New Jersey couple, according to TMZ.

However, the couple who were purchasing the property backed out of escrow. meaning something went wrong with the sale of the property or some other aspect of the transaction.

Once this happens, the property is no longer under contract and is relisted for sale.

Buyers are said to have “fallen in love” with their 38,000-square-foot mansion, which the former couple listed on Zillow for a staggering $68 million in July.

Despite backing out of escrow, the source claimed the New Jersey couple is “still interested in the property.”

They paid cash for the property and “spent several million on renovations.”

Additionally, the two-time Oscar winner and superstar had to pay a 5.25 percent mansion tax and a “hefty fee to real estate agents,” according to TMZ.

Crucially, the proposed sale of the home would mark a major split in the $550 million assets of the exes, who married in 2022 without a prenuptial agreement.

Jennifer’s assets account for $400 million of her family’s treasure trove. Ben is said to have an estimated net worth of $150 million.

The property, known as Crestview Manor, includes a 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom main house, a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a caretaker’s cottage and a 12-car garage.

Amenities include a bar, home gym, sports lounge, bar, boxing ring, basketball and pickleball courts and parking for 80 vehicles.

Earlier this month, a source revealed to People that the former couple were not on the same page when they purchased the property.

“The $68 million mansion was Ben’s idea and a major commitment for her,” a source told the outlet.

“She agreed because of its spacious layout, which can accommodate both families, a gym and pickleball court, office space, plus it has two private entrances,” the source added, noting how the layout was ideal for accommodating Ben’s kids — Violet, 18; Finn, 15; and Samuel, 12 — and JLo’s 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

According to the outlet’s source, the mansion’s ultra-modern aesthetic didn’t exactly align with the Jenny From The Block singer’s style.

“She loves the romantic, Spanish and European atmosphere,” they said.

However, once they settled in, Ben wasn’t particularly thrilled with the place either.

The source claimed that Ben found it inconvenient and time-consuming to deal with the traffic at the house since his life and children are in Brentwood, and he never liked the location.

The Batman actor has since purchased a new bachelor pad for $20.5 million.

As J.Lo and Ben divide their assets, a source told People that their ongoing divorce “has the potential to get ugly” since they did not sign a prenuptial agreement.

The source said there were “some financial issues” between the couple, who eloped at The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas.

In her divorce filing, Jennifer, who listed her separation date as April 26, 2024, wrote that her assets were “unknown.”

Under California state law, only the income and assets they earned during their short-term marriage “are considered community property and are subject to division.”

This includes the Beverly Hills mansion and several of the projects and sponsorships they have undertaken since they got married.
