Ben Affleck has raced to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home after being evacuated following the devastating wildfires in California. TMZ reports.

The actor fled his $20 million bachelor pad in the Pacific Palisades on Tuesday after the fire developed.

Affleck, 52, lives a short distance from his ex-wife, with whom he shares three children.

He rushed to their home, although it is not clear whether it was to check on them or to stay there after being forced from his property.

Affleck looked dejected as he drove to his house and it went up in flames yesterday.

Garner lives in a $7.4 million custom-built ranch away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

So far, she has not been asked to evacuate, TMZ reports.

Affleck has been living in his bachelor pad since he moved out of the $68 million home he shared with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez after their divorce.

He is among a number of celebrities living in the luxury enclave of LA, which has been decimated by the fires.

Oscar-nominated actor James Woods and Star Wars star Mark Hamill also revealed they had bundled out of the area.

High Santa Ana winds of up to 60 mph have left firefighters struggling to control the blaze so far.

LA Fire Chief Marrone said two people were killed, although the cause of death remains unclear.

Officials have also received reports of a large number of injuries in Eaton and as many as 1,000 buildings have been destroyed so far.

According to Marrone, the fire was 0 percent contained as of 8 a.m. local time.

Southern California Edison shut off power to nearly 120,000 customers in six Southern California counties due to safety concerns from high winds and the risk of wildfires.

Another 440,000 customers could face similar shutoffs depending on weather conditions, the utility said on its website Wednesday.

Officials in and around the US city are preparing for the situation to worsen on Wednesday, as California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency.

With thousands of firefighters already battling the flames, the Los Angeles Fire Department called for off-duty personnel to help, but weather conditions were too windy to fly firefighting planes.

At least three separate fires were burning in the metropolitan area, from the Pacific coast inland to Pasadena.
