Ben Affleck dropped a major hint months ago that he had split from wife Jennifer Lopez, who filed for divorce on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old star was speaking with Kevin Hart During an episode of the fourth season of Your Hart To Heart program which was filmed in early 2024.
The Argo director was telling a story about how fans harassed his wife when they were their children Violet, Fin and Samuel in New York City’s busy Times Square.
At one point, Ben used the past tense when referring to his marriage.
Ben said that his daughter – he didn’t say if he meant Violet or when Fin was Seraphina – has this thing where she is…‘Always throwing titles at his autobiography.’
After the JLo frenzy began, her daughter turned to her father Ben and said that a title for her autobiography could be: J-Lo Was My Stepmother.
He mentions why his daughter used the past tense “was.” It may have been because the marriage was already over by then.
Ben then added: “And I thought, well, that’s a good title.”

Affleck and Lopez separated in April and she filed for divorce on Tuesday, their second wedding anniversary.
The interview was filmed in early 2024 when Ben had a full beard; he shaved it off in March to film The Accountant 2.
It could be possible that they were already separated when the interview took place before March, although Jennifer has claimed they split in April.
Also in the interview with Hart, Ben went into great detail about how Lopez has crazy fame while he has sort of fame.
The Air said fans went wild when they saw the 55-year-old Bronx-born beauty with him in Times Square.
It turns out it was his idea to walk through one of the busiest neighborhoods with a superstar on his arm.
“We went somewhere with (Jennifer) — I can’t remember because she’s so famous and she creates this — people love her and she really represents something important to people,” Affleck said.
“People are like, ‘Hey, I like your movie,’ and then they’re like, ‘AAAHHHH! J-LO!’ she yelled. ‘That’s amazing, you know what I mean?’
Then he got more specific.
“I think it was when we passed through Times Square,” he continued.

‘We got out of the car, we were going to see a play, and I said, “Fuck it, babe, we’re going to be late, we have to walk a block and a half.” (Lopez) said, “Okay,” she didn’t say shit.’
They were with all of their children: he has Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with Jennifer Garner and Lopez has Max and Emme with Marc Anthony.
“We walked with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and it was just crazy,” Affleck said.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ There was a woman smoking marijuana, wearing a tight purple suit (she’s a heavy woman), and she started running backwards while I was filming and was like, ‘LO!'”
He added: “It’s like a herald that attracts everyone else and then all the tourists come.”
Affleck said the chaos was a lot to take in.

Affleck also talks about his grumpy face and his explanation is hard to believe since the actor, who has been in front of the cameras for three decades, declared that he is “shy.”
Ben said: “I’m a bit shy too. I don’t like to draw too much attention to myself.
“That’s why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why is this guy always angry? ‘ Because someone put the camera in my face and I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go. ‘”
“You have a resting bitch face,” Hart joked.
“Bitch? Now!” Affleck responded while pretending to be angry.
“I have a hard expression on my face. People project onto me something that I don’t feel at all in myself.”
There seemed to be some issues with Bennifer back in February 2023 at the Grammy Awards.
He was seen here in May 2023, appearing to be berating his wife.
Hart loses points for not asking Ben why he’s still in show business if he doesn’t like the attention.
Ben, who also directs, has no plans to stop acting: his next film is The Accountant 2.
“My wife will tell you, I like to talk,” Ben also said earlier in the interview – it’s worth noting that he didn’t say ex-wife, but the show could have been recorded months ago.
