Jennifer Lopez’s love may not cost anything, but her divorce from Ben Affleck certainly does.
Friends have told DailyMail.com that the ‘Last Duel’ actor, 51, and the superstar singer, 55, are once again moving forward with a divorce after a last-ditch attempt at reconciliation in recent weeks failed.
The couple’s divorce papers “are finalized, but not yet served,” sources said.
The news follows the purchase of a new Affleck $20.5 million mansion, “bachelor pad” in Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, the day Lopez turned 55.
Lopez’s friends said Affleck’s sudden purchase of a bachelor pad on her birthday was “a stab in the heart.”

The purchase came days after the couple put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $68 million.
July 24 also marked the day that Lopez also finalized the sale of her four-bedroom penthouse in New York City for $23 million. People reported.
“They finalized their divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to serve them,” said a source close to the duo.
‘At that point, they will issue a joint statement saying how much they love each other and how they fought to make it work but couldn’t.
“The truth is that in the end they were unable to reach an agreement. What they had before is gone and both have accepted it,” said another source.

The couple was last photographed together on March 30. Since then, they have spent the summer apart, with Jennifer spending most of the time on the East Coast while Ben remains at home in Los Angeles.
They even celebrated their second wedding anniversary on July 16 in different cities.
Reports of Affleck and Lopez’s marital problems began circulating in May when sources close to the couple reported that Ben had moved into a $100,000 rental apartment and that the couple intended to sell their “dream home.”

The couple has been married since 2005 to 2018, and they share children: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Affleck’s bachelor pad is more like a multi-million dollar mansion with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, with breakfast and dining areas, as well as a separate family room, study, walk-in closets, media room, powder room and even a guest house.
The house was designed by architect Cliff May.
The penthouse that Lopez sold is a four-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom duplex.

Lopez and Affleck, who purchased their dream home for $60 million in May 2023, have not found any immediate buyers.
Reports about Affleck and Lopez’s marital problems began circulating in May, after the couple had not been seen together since late March.
A source told In Touch at the time: ‘Ben has already moved on and they will likely have to sell their dream home they’ve been looking at for two years.
“They will never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him and he can’t change her. There’s no way this could last.”
He and Garner, 52, were married from 2005 to 2018 and share children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
One of Lopez’s friends who lives in Los Angeles told the Daily Mail: “If it’s just a matter of putting in the effort, then you better believe she’ll figure it out.”
“She has put her heart and soul into her love story with Ben and won’t give up without a fight,” the source added. “From what I’ve heard, there’s still a lot of love there, so there must be hope.”
Lopez is believed to be in New York City, after recently celebrating her birthday on July 24 in the Hamptons.
The couple also spent the Fourth of July weekend apart.
