Sister Margaret Noone, who made significant contributions to pediatric palliative care in Australia, has died.

As a Sister of Loreto, a former teacher and elementary school principal, Sister Noone dedicated her life to serving others, particularly children with life-threatening conditions.

Sister Margaret Noone, who has made significant contributions to pediatric palliative care in Australia, has died aged 91.

He website of the Very Special Kids organization announced Sister Noone’s death on Friday.

“It is with great sadness that we share the death of our first employee and patron, Sister Margaret Noone IBVM AM, at age 91.”

‘Margaret died peacefully on Friday, January 3 surrounded by members of the Loreto community and her loved ones.’

“Margaret joined Very Special Kids at its inception in 1985 and quickly got to work advocating for the need for holistic pediatric palliative care outside of acute hospital care.”
