Prominent radio host Robin Ayers has died unexpectedly, her employer has confirmed. She was 44 years old.
Ayers had been a well-known entertainment reporter and radio host at KBLA 1580 Talk Radio in Los Angeles, where she worked for the past several years.
In a statement, staff at the Los Angeles-area radio station revealed that she died Thursday. As of Sunday, the cause of death had not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, tributes are pouring in for the radio personality, who left behind a husband and twin daughters who just days ago celebrated their 18th birthday.
The presenter of The RA Report with Robin Ayers wrote at the time: ‘With the family! Celebrating Thanksgiving and the twins’ 18th birthday!’ – via a video showing the family of four enjoying what appeared to be a night out in New York City.
Days later, it is unknown what took his life. She seemed happy and healthy in the post and in others in the days leading up to it, and one written on November 21 insisted that “the best part (of her story) is yet to come.”
In addition to KBLA, Ayers had appeared on many other networks such as FOX and BET. She had been a stylist in Hollywood before embarking on her career in entertainment and podcasting about a decade ago, which has now come to a premature end.
