A woman’s body was found three days after a hiker fell from a cliff near a popular waterfall.
The woman was walking at Belmore Falls in Robertson, in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, when she slipped and plunged almost 100 meters into the water on Sunday around 1pm.
Police and paramedics were called to the area and emergency crews began searching for the 20-year-old, however they were unable to find her.
But police divers believe on Tuesday that the body recovered at 11:30 a.m. is that of the missing woman.
The woman’s body has not yet been formally identified.

SES volunteers and police rescue officers were seen scouring the bush on Sunday.
A PolAir helicopter was also deployed to assist in the search.
The search and rescue mission also involved teams from several agencies, including the SES and the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service.
However, the search was suspended on Sunday night due to poor lighting and resumed on Monday morning.
The woman could not be found on Monday night and the search was suspended again, until it resumed on Tuesday.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Belmore Falls will remain closed until Wednesday to assist emergency crews.
An extensive search was launched to find the missing 20-year-old and a police helicopter (pictured) was also deployed to help.
