Shocking video captured the moment the owner of a popular chain of beauty stores was fatally shot by her ex-husband outside one of her stores.
Surveillance footage showed Gianeriney Nascimento, 42, arguing with Denilson Bento, 55, outside her nail salon in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday.
Bento appeared to lose his cool during the argument when Nascimento shoved him.
Bento then pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at Nascimento, firing three times.
Several bystanders, including a woman holding a child in her arms, wrestled the gun away from Bento and knocked him to the ground.
Within minutes, a São Paulo Military Police patrol arrived on the scene and arrested the man.
Nascimento went into cardiac arrest while being flown to Santa Casa Hospital, where she died.
Military police Captain Costa Ramos said Bento confessed to killing his ex-wife.

According to a public records search, Bento has been arrested for theft in the past.
Nascimento leaves behind five children.
Her two youngest, a five-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl, came from her relationship with Bento.
She was respected in the beauty industry and owned four nail salons in São Paulo.
Her business social media account, Dom Doca Esmalteria, had more than 500,000 followers on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, she has become yet another victim of the violence that haunts so many women in our country,” Nascimento’s company said in a statement.
“Her death leaves a huge chasm in our hearts and reinforces the urgency of fighting for a world where no woman will have her life interrupted by such cruel pain.”
Nascimento’s death stunned her contemporaries in the industry.

“Unfortunately, she has become yet another victim of the violence that haunts so many women in our country,” Nascimento’s company said in a statement.
“The pain I feel is so intense that it is difficult to find words to describe it,” wrote nail design instructor Renato Irineau.
‘My boyfriend, who has always played a crucial role in my life, was like a mother to me.’
“Haney is in charge of everything we live today,” wrote digital creator Vick Porto.
“She paved the way for many of us.”
