Samanta Villarreal was traveling in a Ford Lobo in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, Mexico, when it crashed and overturned on a bridge on Sunday.
The impact of the accident caused the truck to tumble down a slope, where it burst into flames.
Red Cross firefighters and paramedics were able to remove the three victims from the vehicle.
Villarreal, mother of a four-year-old girl, had no vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Samanta Villarreal, who in 2018 was crowned Queen of Tourism of the municipality of El Carmen, in northeastern Mexico, died on Sunday in a car accident. Her sister and a friend survived the accident and remain hospitalized.
Local Mexican media reported that the vehicle carrying the late former beauty queen Samanta Villarreal was chased on a highway in the northeastern city of Villaldama moments before crashing into a bridge and overturning before bursting into flames.
Her sister and a friend were rushed to the Sabinas Hidalgo Hospital, where doctors declared them in serious condition as of Tuesday.
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nuevo León opened an investigation into the accident.
Several local media outlets reported that his vehicle was being chased before crashing.
Samanta Villarreal was crowned Queen of Tourism 2018 for the municipality of El Carmen, Nuevo León and participated in the promotion of cultural events during her reign.
He studied public accounting at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León and lived in Monterrey, capital of Nuevo León.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nuevo León leads the investigation into the car accident that left former beauty queen Samanta Villareal dead and injured two people, including her sister.
The model’s death shocked her loved ones and the beauty pageant community, including Alberto Roque, who oversees the state’s tourism queen pageant.
‘On behalf of the entire family of the Queen of Tourism contest and my own, we join in prayer with the sadness that overwhelms the Villarreal Nuñez, Villarreal Soto and Núñez Treviño families for the very unfortunate loss of Samanta Núñez who participated with enormous pride representing El Carmen in the Nuevo León Tourism Queen State Contest in 2018,’ Roque wrote on Facebook.
“There is a pain for which there are no words,” he added. We send you a hug from the bottom of our hearts.”
‘I can’t believe it because God had to take you to heaven, if you had a whole life to live,’ wrote Blankys Villarreal. ‘RIP Samantha and may perpetual light shine upon you. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.’
