Beauty and the Geek star Mike Gambaro escaped having to pay a whopping $1,161 traffic fine.
The 22-year-old reality star received the ticket after roadside cameras allegedly filmed him driving with a passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Queenslander challenged the decision and the fine was waived ahead of a court appearance scheduled to decide the matter.
“I fought the law and I won,” he told A Current Affair on Thursday.
Gambaro received the fine, which included four demerit points, after picking up a “mystery woman” for a date night at a Brisbane cinema.

According to the traffic report, the woman was not wearing her seat belt properly, a claim that both she and Gambaro dispute.
“I think from now on I’ll make sure the girls meet me at the cinema instead of me picking them up,” he told the Channel Nine show.
“I can’t trust anyone sitting in my passenger seat anymore.”
In a previous interview with ACA, Gambaro explained that the woman’s long hair had covered the seat belt.
Gambaro received the fine, which included four demerit points, after picking up a “mystery woman” for a date night at a Brisbane cinema.
The woman had also filmed herself inside Gambaro’s car that night and, according to him, she was seen to be wearing a seat belt.
The dispute continued for six months until he was informed by letter that his fine had been waived.
“It was stressful, too stressful, but I’m so happy they let it go,” she said.
“Obviously, someone in the judicial process saw that and said, ‘We can’t fight this.’
