A man is assisting police with their investigations after a woman was found dead at a home in northern Victoria.
Emergency services were called to a house on Campbell Road in Cobram about 2.15pm on Tuesday and found the woman’s body inside.
She has not yet been formally identified.
Police are currently questioning a 39-year-old Cobram man.
Police believe the two knew each other.
“Police are working to establish the exact circumstances of the death and the investigation remains ongoing,” a statement read.
No charges have yet been filed.

The woman’s death comes just weeks after Hannah McGuire, 23, was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend Lachlan Young almost 300 kilometers away in Clunes, near Ballarat.
Teaching assistant and mother of one Molly Ticehurst28, was found dead inside her home in the New South Wales town of Forbes, about 370 kilometers west of Sydney, early Monday morning.
Ticehurst’s ex-boyfriend, Daniel Billings, has been charged with her alleged murder.
