The alleged killer cop accused of shooting dead Ten roving reporter Jesse Baird and his Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies had previously snuck into the TV star’s home, police revealed on Monday.

They also revealed that emergency services received a mysterious triple-0 call on the morning Beau Lamarre-Condon is accused of murdering the couple.

But the call at 9.54am last Monday from Baird’s phone at his home was disconnected before anyone spoke and detectives did not follow up, NSW Police admitted today.

The call came four minutes after neighbors said they heard gunshots coming from the rented $3 million terrace house in Paddington, in Sydney’s east.

But police say no one reported the shooting to police until detectives questioned him days later.

Deputy Commissioner David Hudson said investigations into the number of shots fired were still continuing, but reports from neighbors varied from “one to several.”

“Four minutes after the shooting, a Triple-0 call was made from Jesse’s phone, but it disconnected,” he said.

‘Nothing was said or heard from what I understand…very brief.’

In a lengthy news conference Monday morning, police described in detail new evidence of the alleged double murder.

The search for the two men’s bodies is still ongoing, with divers scouring dams in the Southern Tablelands after Lamarre-Condon allegedly traveled to a property there last week.

Police also revealed they believe Lamarre-Condon had previously broken into Mr Baird’s home and deleted key contacts and messages from his phone after a bad break-up between Mr Baird and the celebrity hunter-turned-cop.

Baird, a presenter and producer on Ten’s Studio 10, had previously told friends he feared he was being harassed at home and had seen a dark figure in his room one night.

‘My understanding was [the relationship] “It was an on-and-off exchange,” Dep Comm Hudson said.

‘Some of the defendants’ conduct that will later come to light in court was likely indicators of predatory behavior.

‘The relationship, which ended at the end of last year, did not end well.

‘We believe the accused had attended Jessie’s house. We believe that he had used a key to enter that premises.

‘We believe he took possession of Jesse’s phone and deleted contacts and messages from that phone before leaving the premises.

“At this stage we are reconstructing all of that through witnesses.”

Dep Comm Hudson said there were several “premises entrances” to Mr Baird’s home which had not been reported to police at the time.

But he said detectives would investigate allegations that Baird made a written report to Bondi police about a break-in at his home last August.

He added that Lamarre-Condon frequently hid the fact that he was a serving police officer when he met people.

He added: ‘The accused was not fully forthcoming about his relationship with his acquaintances.

“There were a lot of people we’ve talked to who didn’t know he’s a police officer.”

Five key revelations from the press conference

1. Jesse Baird had told his friends that he was being harassed and last August Bondi police station was informed that there had been a raid on his home in Paddington. Police said they believe Baird and Lamarre-Condon were still in an on-off relationship at the time.

2. Police revealed that Lamarre-Condon had allegedly broken into the property “several times”, including to gain access to Mr Baird’s phone, deleting contacts from the device and then leaving.

3. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots at 9:50 a.m. Monday morning, but did not report it to police at the time. Four minutes later, a triple-0 call was placed on Jesse Baird’s phone, but it was disconnected.

4. Police will allege that after killing the couple, Lamarre met with an acquaintance on Wednesday and made “partial confessions” about his crimes. The pair attended a store where Lamarre-Condon allegedly purchased an angle grinder and a padlock. Police will allege Lamarre-Condon then took the couple to the Bungonia property, which he had previously visited during a previous relationship, cut the lock and replaced it with a new one. He then allegedly drove the vehicle to the rear of the property, where he spent 30 minutes while an acquaintance waited for him.

Police said the acquaintance is an innocent party and did not know the bodies were allegedly in the back of the vehicle.

The couple then returned to Sydney.

Police alleged that Lamarre-Condon returned to the property that same night after purchasing weights and disposing of the bodies.

5. Police believe Lamarre-Condon returned to the property sometime between 11.30am and 8.30pm on Thursday after an acquaintance became suspicious. They believe he may have moved the body elsewhere and they may not be in the quarry being searched for today in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
