Wide receiver DJ Moore and the Chicago Bears have agreed to a four-year, $110 million contract extension. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The deal guarantees $82.6 million to the six-year veteran and is the largest contract in franchise history. Only Justin Jefferson and AJ Brown have received more with their recent extensions. The $110 million value is the fifth-highest among NFL receivers, behind Jefferson, Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill and Amon-Ra St. Brown. An average annual salary of $27.5 million occupies the seventh place in the position.
Moore, 27, was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Bears in a deal that included the No. 1 overall pick in 2023, which selected quarterback Bryce Young. He was the Panthers’ first-round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft, selected 24th overall out of Maryland.
Last season, Moore posted the best numbers of his NFL career. He caught 96 passes for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns. That yardage total was the fourth-highest for a receiver in Bears team history. Extremely durable, Moore has played in all 17 regular season games for three consecutive years.
Rookie quarterback and first overall pick Caleb Williams will now have his top receiver locked up through the 2029 season. With two seasons remaining on his current contract, Moore becomes the first receiver in NFL history to have the first 10 years of his career guaranteed under contract.

The commitment to Moore could signal that the Bears have no intention of offering a contract extension to fellow receiver Keenan Allen, whom Chicago acquired in March from the Los Angeles Chargers. Allen had 108 receptions last season for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns. He will be paid $18.1 million next season and will become a free agent after the season.
The Bears also selected Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze with the ninth overall pick. In four seasons with the Huskies, he caught 214 passes for 3,272 yards and 24 touchdowns.
