Bear Grylls shared a rare photo with his lookalike son Marmaduke as the teenager celebrated his 18th birthday.
The adventurer, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday to wish his middle son a happy birthday with two snaps alongside his wife of 24 years, Shara Cannings Knight.
Bear, who also has sons Jesse, 20, and Huckleberry, 15, with Shara, captioned the post: ’18 today! We love you so much Marmaduke… keep shining! .”
But fans were quick to point out Marmaduke’s incredible height as he was seen towering over his parents in both snaps.
The first image showed Marmaduke, who Bear had previously said is 6ft 4ins tall, sporting a long black coat covering a tight-fitting vest, Oxford shirt, striped trousers and shaved hair.

In the second snap, Marmaduke matched his dad in a shirt and vest combo.
In the comments section of Bear’s post for Marmaduke’s birthday, fans also marveled at his size.
They wrote: ‘Bear Junior is turning into a Grizzly’; ‘I think drinking p*** somehow created a superhuman’; ‘Bear Grylls’ son is actually a bear’; ‘You must admire him very much’;
‘What are you feeding him?!’; ‘Absolute unity, take it to that rugby field’; ‘I think your son is the real bear here. How tall.
‘Oh wow, he’s so tall. Happy 18th to him’; ‘Is he standing on something? Happy birthday Marmaduke.’
French Geordie Hiker Garrin said: ‘What you’ve been feeding walks. 18 and already looks incredibly strong.’
Meanwhile, skier JT Holmes added: “He definitely outgrew the jacket I gave him.”
The snaps differed greatly from those shared a year earlier for Marmaduke’s 17th birthday.

While Marmaduke has largely stayed out of the spotlight, his older brother Jesse is a little better known, even being revealed as one of Tatler’s stylish British society boys to watch in 2022.
Seemingly determined to surpass his TV survival expert father when it came to daredevil stunts, Jesse shocked fans in October 2021 when he performed a dangerous skydive off a bridge.
The stomach-churning difference was that the parachute was attached to him by hooks drilled into the skin of his back.
A gruesome video posted on social media showed Jesse just before the jump, clenching his fists as four metal hooks were inserted into the flesh around his shoulder blades. It is not known if any anesthetic was involved in the process.

Despite the force generated by the trick, his piercings did not come loose and he landed safely after sliding down a valley in an unknown location.
The phenomenon is known as suspension base jumping and was created by Russian thrill seeker Stanislav Aksenov, who teamed up with Jesse for the jump.
It combines base jumping (parachuting from a stationary point) with Mr. Aksenov’s penchant for piercings. Jumping often results in blood being drawn.
The hooks are then removed and are said to leave small scars once the flesh has closed. Jesse described it as “the most intense experience” and added, “I love that feeling of falling with nothing.”
His father Bear praised his achievement but begged him not to repeat it.
He wrote: ‘You destroyed it! But never again. You now have the world record for the youngest skydive in history, just enjoy it.’ And he added: ‘No more!’
Bear, his wife and three children were seen leaving Heathrow Airport in March 2014.
