BBC Breakfast apparently suffered a technical error during an interview with eight-year-old aspiring singer Stevie on the Tuesday morning programme.
The show, which aired for the second day in a row without regular presenter Jon Kay, saw stand-in Ben Thompson and Sally Nugent chat to Stevie and his dad.
The father and son duo, who live in Kilkenny, Ireland, were guests on the show to chat about Stevie’s impressive rendition of the Irish rugby anthem during the Six Nations match between Ireland and Italy on Sunday.
However, when Stevie and his father tried to talk about the moment that changed their lives, their voices were drowned out by a technical problem that interrupted the interview.
During the remote interview, which was conducted via video link, they encountered sound issues that irritated viewers at home.

The sound kept appearing, which meant that viewers were having difficulty understanding what the young man being interviewed was saying during the segment.
At one point, host Sally, looking bewildered, lunged forward, seeming to try to get a better idea of what Stevie was saying.
Fans admitted they were disappointed about missing the interview due to faulty sound and took to X to share their complaints.
One said: ‘Is your sound/tech team free today? The sound of some of his interviews is awful.
While another added: ‘What’s going on with the sound this morning?’
Jon Kay did not appear on the show for the second day in a row and his absence has yet to be explained.
So far, Ben has performed on numerous occasions since the beginning of the year, while Carol Kirkwood presented the weather updates.
Earlier this week it was revealed that fellow presenter Ben Boulos will be returning to screens after his month-long absence.

The show has seen a shake-up of presenters in recent weeks with Naga Munchetty also taking a break from the show.
Ben, 39, who changed his surname to reflect his heritage in 2021, has been traveling in the United States.
The news anchor visited New York, New Orleans and Washington DC, but now he’s back on the iconic red couch.
Her co-star Naga also returned to the screen after several weeks of absence with Sally filling in for her.
Last month, BBC Ben was interrupted while broadcasting live on television by a man who had mistaken him for an employee.
The presenter, who was wearing a high-visibility jacket, was presenting a segment from a Birmingham market when the hilarious encounter took place.

Last month, BBC Ben was interrupted while on live television by a man who had mistaken him for an employee.
A confused looking man could be seen wandering behind Ben, talking about the rate of food price inflation before Christmas.
While in the middle of the stream, the man approaches Ben and asks him something, to which he replies, ‘I don’t work here, I’m just doing the news!’
From the BBC studio in Salford, presenter Jon Kay thanked Ben for tailoring his reporting to his “shift in the market”.
Ben later shared the moment on X, formerly known as Twitter, to the delight of his followers, who laughed at the mishap.
In the comments section, his fans posted a series of laughing face emojis and jokes, including one who wrote: “Always good to have something to fall back on, Ben!”
Another person called the moment “more Breakfast TV gold,” referencing similar mistakes that have taken place over the years.
