Tributes are pouring in for a teenager who tragically took his own life this week, just one day before starting a new job.

Baylee Ryan, 18, died on Monday afternoon in the Moreton Bay suburb of Bray Park in southeast Queensland.

His heartbroken mother, Tracy Ryan, said she was “absolutely speechless” after receiving the devastating news.

“This afternoon I received absolutely devastating news that I wish wasn’t real,” Ryan wrote on Facebook.

‘I’m still processing it all and I don’t want to believe it.

“He was amazing and talented in so many ways and it’s a real shame.”

‘I know everyone who met him was touched in some way, that’s how incredible he was.

‘Your smile will always be in my heart. I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS BAYLEE.’

Ms Ryan told Daily Mail Australia she was due to start work at Hungry Jack’s on Tuesday.

“He was an amazing young man who was always happy as a child and grew up with a beautiful smile on his face,” she said.

‘He was much loved by his friends and family and was always active, well behaved and respectful.

“I always received praise for his good behavior and manners.”

It is understood Baylee had suffered from depression for several years, but had plans to go to university to pursue a career in science or engineering.

Ryan added that a previous abusive relationship he had left a deep impact on his son, forcing them to briefly live on the streets.

Baylee’s partner also posted a tribute on social media and asked if anyone who lived near Bray Park train station could leave flowers in her honour.

“I didn’t have many close friends or family to mourn his death other than me, so I hope you can mourn with me, I don’t want you to forget him,” they wrote.

“Baylee was really sweet and soft, but she struggled with this kind of thing for a few years.

“I’m so sorry Baylee, I’ll miss you forever.”

Several bouquets of flowers have been left at the station since Baylee’s passing.

Other tributes have arrived from loved ones.

‘Baylee was a beautiful, kind and intelligent young man. If he needs anything let me know,” one person wrote.

Another wrote that “our hearts ache with the devastating news of your precious son Baylee.”

“Bay was such a sweet soul, he loved the moments we had during his and Camdyn’s 13 year friendship, and we will always cherish the memories made,” he wrote.

‘May you no longer feel pain Bay.’

Ms Ryan told the Courier Mail she wanted other young people struggling with their mental health to “speak up”.

“Even if it’s uncomfortable, just speak up and tell someone what you’re going through,” she said.
