The report claims that Bayern approached Tuchel regarding his short-term availability and also about a summer move.

It was reported that he had told Bayern he would not consider a switch mid-season but could be available when the season finishes.

But speaking ahead of PSG’s Champions League clash at home to Club Brugge, Tuchel has emphatically denied any potential move to Bayern.

On Tuesday afternoon, Tuchel said: ‘No, I am not interested as I am PSG coach. Last I checked, I am under contract this season & next.’

Kovac was sacked from the Allianz Arena following the club’s humiliating 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

With the international break looming, Bayern could wait until then to find Kovac’s successor.

In the meantime, they have announced Hansi Flick as caretaker manager with some huge games coming up.

Flick, who had been assistant coach to Kovac, will take charge of the Champions League clash at home to Olympiacos before facing title rivals Dortmund on the weekend.
