Basket actor Hagen Mills begged his ex-girlfriend to get back together before she shot her

Warged Baskets actor Hagen Mills mistakenly believed he had just shot his ex-girlfriend when he committed suicide for their four-year-old daughter, the woman’s mother revealed in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.

Tammy Green-Price says she took care of granddaughter Mila on Tuesday night when Mills, 29, made her way through their house in Mayfield, Kentucky with a gun.

He tied Tammy’s arms with duct tape and lurked behind the front door to ambush ex-girlfriend Erica Price when she walked in 30 minutes later.

As Tammy watched helplessly, Mills jumped out and shot 34-year-old Erica as he begged her to try their failed relationship again.

But after taking her phone and looking at it, the wannabe star – bailed for previous March domestic violence allegations – flew into deadly rage and fired Erica twice from a distance.

“She ran around the corner to hide, but collapsed. There was blood everywhere, ‘Tammy, 55, told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview.

However, behind the scenes, according to Tammy, he was a serial abuser, saying the aspiring actor would not leave Erica alone after their split two years ago.

But Tammy said, “He lived in Mayville, Kentucky, of course he was a failed actor. He’s been terrorizing my daughter for months, actually years. ‘

He was obsessed with her. He stalked her. He drove to the house to see if she had company and came here in the middle of the night. He called her constantly and showed up at work.

Tammy said the couple went out for two years and lived together in LA while Mills tried unsuccessfully to “ become a big name. ”

When they broke up and Erica returned to Kentucky with Mila, Mills followed her because he couldn’t accept the relationship was over, she claims.

“He was obsessed with her. He stalked her. I don’t know how much the police know because she was a very private person, ”Tammy added.

Records from Graves County, Kentucky, confirm that Mills had an extensive rap sheet of deliberate threat, second-degree assault, and possession of meth.

On March 30 this year, he was arrested and charged with first-degree rape, sodomy and kidnapping.

According to an arrest warrant from DailyMail.com, Mills was reportedly involved in an altercation with an unnamed woman outside his home.

He is said to have hit the victim with a gun “ripping her forehead and lip.”

Mills then dragged the woman in, where he brutally raped her and held her captive for ten hours, the document said.

Only when he fell asleep in the early hours could she escape and seek help in the hospital.

Mills was released from Graves County prison on May 6 on a $ 500,000 property bond and $ 10,000 bail, provincial officials have announced.

Less than two weeks later, he showed up at Erica, shared them with Tammy and Mila and demanded to come in.

He knocked on the door. I thought it was my son, but when I saw who it was, I tried to close it, ‘Tammy told DailyMail.com.

“He pushed his way in and I saw he had a gun. He pointed the gun, but said he wouldn’t hurt me, he just wanted to come in and wait.

“He tied my hands with duct tape. I tried to appease him, but it was clear he had gone mad.

“Mila was terrified, she was hysterical. I tried to calm her down, telling her it was going to be okay. ‘

When Erica finally came home and came in, Mills emerged from her hiding place and started begging for a second chance. Tammy continued.

“He got out so she could see the gun, she said to him,” I’m going everywhere, I’m doing everything. “

“Erica did everything to get him out of there and away from us.

But he took her phone and saw something on it and just said ‘oh no’. Then he raised his gun.

“He shot her twice at a maximum distance of three meters. She collapsed as she ran around the corner, but he couldn’t see her getting up and immediately shooting himself. ‘

Mayfield Police would not speculate about the motive behind Mills’ attempted suicide.

Locals who knew him expressed their shock on social media on Wednesday.

“Just such a sad situation for both families. I can not imagine it. Prayers for his soul and for Erica Price and her family.

“This is not the Hagen I knew and grew up with. You never know what someone is going through, ‘wrote an old acquaintance.

Meanwhile one GoFundMe page was set up to support Erica, who needs ongoing medical treatment for the injuries sustained in Tuesday’s incident.

The description reads: “Erica was fully involved in an incident outside her control and the results of that incident have caused her injuries that required immediate and continued medical treatment.

I am very angry. Everyone has failed here. The authorities have failed to provide bail for this man. His family failed to get him out, but failed to give him the mental health he needed.

“Erica has a small child as a single mother. She will likely collect a series of expensive medical bills and at this point, she is unlikely to return to work anytime soon. ‘

Tammy told DailyMail.com that her daughter is heavily sedated and cannot speak to the media, but she has managed to speak to Mila to ensure she is fine.

In the longer term, Tammy says her goal is to push for changes in the way violent offenders are controlled in the community.

“I am very angry,” she said. “Everyone has failed here. The authorities have failed to provide bail for this man. His family failed to get him out, but failed to give him the mental health he needed.

“They just paid his fines and let him go on. But perhaps, if a troubled child does something horrific, it is right to leave him in prison.

“I want them to change the law in Kentucky so that if violent offenders are released, they must at least wear an electronic surveillance device and not be released alone to roam the streets and do what they want.”
