Barstool’s Dave Portnoy has given his verdict on Donald Trump’s performance against Kamala Harris in a “teams” presidential debate on social media.
Trump debated Harris for the first time on Tuesday night following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from re-election in July.
Portnoy had previously said “evil” Trump would “easily cruise” to victory in November’s election after he was shot during a rally in Pennsylvania.
After Tuesday’s debate, it appears that statement may have changed.
“I don’t think things are going well for Trump so far,” Portnoy said. “It probably doesn’t help that it’s a tag team match, but it’s not great.”

Portnoy later posted: “Do you know Putin? Simple question. No answer. Moderators don’t provide any clarification.”
Both conservative commentators and Portnoy have blamed ABC moderators for their live fact-checking of Trump, leading some to believe it is an unfair debate.
Portnoy revealed he was on a flight when Trump was shot in July, but when he landed he insisted Trump would now easily win over rival Joe Biden.
The Barstool Sports boss posted on X: ‘I just landed and failed an assassination attempt. Holy crap. What a bad reaction from Trump. The election is over. He’s the next president. Democrats should give up. They can’t beat him now.’
“We can also put aside the hatred on both sides. This country is tearing itself apart. Let the voters decide. Just because you vote for one side or the other doesn’t make you Satan.”
Portnoy also posted a photo of Trump standing with his fist raised moments after the shooting. He wrote: “The election is over.”
He also criticized Biden for the length of time it took the president to comment on the situation.
Portnoy continued: “How is it possible that the President of the United States hasn’t said a word in over an hour when a former President and current Republican nominee just survived an assassination attempt? WHERE IS @JoeBiden?”
